I facilitate workshops and offsites your team will actually talk about after.

My workshops use design thinking—a fun, fast-paced problem-solving methodology—to get your team talking openly, thinking creatively, and walking away with real tools and next steps.

Fun, fast-paced, and surprisingly productive

Great teams know how to talk to each other, work through challenges, and make progress towards their goals in a way that feels functional and not friction…al (er, I made that word up, but you get where I’m going, right?).

That's what my workshops are for. I bring the design thinking methodology into leadership offsites, team resets, and innovation sprints—sessions that are hands-on, a little irreverent, and designed to make something real happen.

From law firm mentorship programs to nonprofit leadership retreats and beyond, these sessions move the needle, get the team working on the same page, and leave your team energized.

WHY teams hire me

Whether you want to solve a real challenge or just give your team a set of new tools and an experience they'll actually remember, I'll design a session that fits.

You want to invest in your team's development
Bring design thinking into your organization as a skill your team learns, practices, and continues to use long after our session together.

You need to solve a specific problem
Stuck on a strategic challenge? I'll facilitate a working session that surfaces what's really going on and gets your team to a concrete plan.

HOW IT WORKS

Each facilitation experience is tailored to your needs. Here’s a glimpse into the process.

  • We’ll jump on a call to discuss your goals, challenges, and what you’re hoping to get out of our time together. No commitment, just a conversation to see if we are a mutual fiit.

  • Once we’re booked, we’ll jump on a call to deep dive into your ideas, visions, and goals for the session. I’ll ask you a bunch of questions to holistically understand your team, who will be in the room, and anything else I need to know to tailor the session to be as impactful as possible.

  • Armed with the insight from our strategy call, I will tailor the session to your specific needs. This takes into consideration your goals, group size, format requirements, and team dynamics. As a facilitator of 15+ years, I’ve seen it all, and use my experience to ensure the session is successful and impactful.

  • The main event! I’ll guide your team through a structured but collaborative, interactive process. Half-day or full-day, in-person or virtual, or a combination!

  • After our session is done, I will deliver a document capturing key insights, decisions, and next-steps so the momentum persists well past our time together.

About the
design thinking methodology

My workshops are grounded in design thinking—a creative problem-solving methodology that puts empathy and human needs at the center of every decision. It's structured enough to keep things productive and open enough to surface the insights that matter.

The process moves through Inspiration (understanding the problem deeply), Ideation (generating creative solutions), and Implementation (prototyping and testing ideas). I've been practicing and teaching this methodology for nearly 15 years, and what I love most is watching teams discover a new way of working together that they carry forward long after our session.

“Sara's design thinking workshop was a wonderful way to learn something new together and foster team building in a virtual space. We reflected on the new, shared language around strategies we already employ and were able to direct conversation around intentional ways to build in what we learned to our daily work. Sara was thoughtful from the initial consultation about what would best serve our team and her commitment to equity was a necessary through line our work with her.”
