I facilitate the fun, generative process your staff retreat is craving.

My workshops use Design Thinking—a fun, fast-paced problem-solving methodology—to get your team thinking differently, working collaboratively, and moving the needle quickly and meaningfully.

You’re gathering your team.
Let’s make sure you’re harnessing the magic in the room.

There’s so much potential when you bring your people together. But I’ve seen it time and time again—you fall back into the same patterns, usual mindsets, and get caught in the loop of “that never works” amdist reteam dynamics. That’s where I come in—as an outside facilitator using Design Thinking, a structured, generative methodology that helps get your team moving. Through half-day, full-day, or two-day retreats, we will focus on team building, problem-solving, and ensuring you walk away with fresh, inspiring ideas and an action plan to make them happen.

I’ve facilitated this process countless times, and it never ceases to amaze clients what comes out

“I’ve never seen these team members having discussions like these.”

“We’ve achieved more in one day than we have in months before chipping away at this challenge.”

These are things I hear clients say time and time again during and after our sessions. That’s because the Design Thinking process creates the structure and tools to think innovatively, get out of everyday thinking, and connect with others across power dynamics, job titles, and roles. It allows groups to explore new avenues, dream big, and then land it back in reality to move forward.

“I’m not sure how we never thought of that before.”

How it works

Each facilitation experience is tailored to your needs. Here’s a glimpse into the process.

About the
Design Thinking
methodology

My workshops are grounded in design thinking—a creative problem-solving methodology that puts empathy and human needs at the center of every decision. It's structured enough to keep things productive and open enough to surface the insights that matter.

The process moves through Inspiration (understanding the problem deeply), Ideation (generating creative solutions), and Implementation (prototyping and testing ideas). I've been practicing and teaching this methodology for nearly 15 years, and what I love most is watching teams discover a new way of working together that they carry forward long after our session.

“Sara's design thinking workshop was a wonderful way to learn something new together and foster team building in a virtual space. We reflected on the new, shared language around strategies we already employ and were able to direct conversation around intentional ways to build in what we learned to our daily work. Sara was thoughtful from the initial consultation about what would best serve our team and her commitment to equity was a necessary through line our work with her.”
